Vikings lead the BBC in SACKS

The Minnesota Vikings currently are leading the league in the "sack" category with 23. There was much speculation about the #12 overall pick LE Reggie Rogers. Rogers was a known trouble maker in college. Vikings fans were uncertain what he could bring to the table replacing pro-bowler LE Kenechi Udeze. With Udeze still on the roster... many fans were left wondering why coach Chronic used their 1st round pick on another LE. That became clearer real fast in the last several weeks. Mr. Rogers has not just plugged into the position. He is wreaking havoc for OTs. With 5 sacks already Reggie Rogers has slammed the door on any fan criticism. The new Dline is causing all kinds of matchup issues and has never led the BBC in sacks.

The Vikings defense has had a big overhaul this offseason. Replacing 4 starting defensive jobs. You get the feeling that these guys are coming together faster then had hoped by many. Key additions at linebacker: MLB Gibson and OLB Brooks are playing like seasoned veterans - more importantly the team as a defense is starting to click.

With the return of QB Markus Schulz this locker room is fired up and there is a lot of pride running through this organization right now.
